The COVE's Media Arts program teaches teens marketable media and computer skills such as video production, directing, camera operation, digital editing, and basic acting, allowing them to create their own media.
The teens have created six short films to date and one short documentary, PSAs (public service announcements) and perform live theater. They also learn how to create print and video advertising and develop business plans.

For Colored Kids (Spring 2014)
Spring 2013 COVE teens wrote, directed and produced this short film entitled, "Only If." This project allowed the students to involve their parents in selecting and obtaining permission to shoot in various locations.
Each spring COVE teen participants organize an end of year presentation of their work, inviting parents, donors, neighbors and their peers to a dinner, performance or art show. For more videos visit our EVENTS page.
In addition to several short videos, COVE teens have created public service announcements (PSA), as well as a documentary entitled, "The Evolution of Hip-Hop"
